Whisk makes it easy to add and create recipes using just your camera. Whether you want to create a recipe from the ingredients you have on hand or import a physical recipe, Whisk’s AI-powered tool is here to help. This article will guide you through the steps to use your camera to add or create recipes on Whisk.

Accessing the Camera Feature

To get started, navigate to the home screen in the app. Under the category labeled “Find more recipes Using Your Camera,” tap the “Scan” button. This will open the camera feature, where you can choose how you’d like to create or import your recipe.

Creating a Recipe from Ingredients

Once you’re on the camera screen, you’ll have the option to create a recipe using the ingredients you have. To do this, either take a picture of your ingredients or select a photo from your camera roll. After you’ve provided the image, Whisk’s artificial intelligence will analyze the ingredients and generate a recipe based on what it detects.

Importing a Physical Recipe

If you have a physical copy of a recipe that you’d like to import into Whisk, you can easily do so using the camera feature. On the camera screen, choose the option to scan your physical recipe. You can take a picture of the recipe or select an image from your camera roll. Whisk’s AI will then import the recipe, allowing you to view it digitally.

Editing Your Recipe

Once your recipe has been generated or imported, you may want to make some changes to better suit your needs. Whisk allows you to easily edit any aspect of the recipe. Simply tap on the text you wish to modify—whether it’s the ingredients, instructions, title or description—and make your desired changes. Keep in mind that these changes will only be saved if you save the recipe after editing.

Saving Your Recipe

After Whisk’s AI has created or imported your recipe, you’ll see it displayed on your screen. To save this recipe, simply press the “Save This” button located in the bottom right corner of the screen. Your recipe will now be stored in your Whisk account, ready for you to access whenever you need it. By following these steps, you can effortlessly add and create recipes using your camera, making meal planning and cooking even more convenient with Whisk.
