Using Whisk's lists
July 29th, 2024 • Published
Whisk’s lists are designed for you to be able to have multiple shareable grocery lists to manage your
grocery needs. List article will discuss everything you need to know about lists.
Creating a list
Please note that you must have an account to create a list. To create a list, head to
the “Lists” screen, which is the fifth tab on the right on the bottom tab bar in the app. Then, hit the
plus (+) button in the top right of the screen.
Deleting a list
To delete a list, head to the “Lists” screen, swipe left on the list you’d like to
delete, press the red delete button, then hit “Delete” in the confirmation alert. If this list is shared
with other users, you will simply be removed from this list and other users will continue to have access
to this list.
Make list by recipe
On a saved recipe, you can hit the “+ Add to Lists” button below the ingredients
list, which will automatically create a list for you with those ingredients. This list works the same as
any other list, and can be shared, edited, and more.
Sharing a list
All lists made on Whisk are shareable with other Whisk users. To share a list, open the
list you’d like to share, hit the 3 dots button in the top right, then hit “Add People” in the menu that
is opened. From here, a window will open where you can enter the email(s) of the person/people you’d
like to add. To add multiple people, enter an email, then press “next” on the button right of the
keyboard or “space” on the bottom middle of the keyboard. These people will be added to your list unless
they have disabled lists sharing.
Disable list sharing
If you’d rather not be added to other users’ lists, head to your account settings
by (while being logged in) going to the home screen, hitting the profile button in the top right, hit
the settings button in the top right of the profile screen, then turning the slider to the off position
under the “List Sharing” setting.
